Single that will be part of a full length album I’m currently working on. This one is a little different from my usual style. I composed We Weathered the Night in the spring of 2020 while quarantining in the countryside during the first months of the pandemic. At the time, there was an air of uncertainty and bewilderment gripping our societies, but also a sense of possibility. 2 years have passed since, I’m still not sure where we’ve ended. We haven’t enacted some of the profound changes one could’ve hoped for but there are certainly ways in which we showed extreme resilience, empathy and collective strength in the face of adversity.

While I was writing the song, the photo that serves as artwork was taken near a pond where thousands of fireflies usually gather at dusk. Not sure how I could’ve kept my mental health afloat through 20’-21’ if it hadn’t been for the beauty of nature and its wonders.
