I produce and direct documentary films with my partner, photographer Maude Plante-Husaruk. Our debut short documentary The Botanist tells the story of an ingenious botanist living in the mountains of Tajikistan. It has been screened and awarded in festivals around the world and featured online by The Atlantic and Nowness.
Our first feature film Far Beyond the Pasturelands premiered at Montreal’s International Documentary Festival (RIDM) in November 2021 where it was awarded the New Visions Prize. It has been pursuing its festival run since and will be coming to theatres in Canada and the UK in December 2022.
Short Synopsis:
In a remote Himalayan region, the villagers of Maikot are preparing for the harvest of a mysterious aphrodisiac caterpillar-mushroom worth more than gold.
